Alice

Alice is our Overnight Technician Assistant whom is always ready to jump into action for emergencies and takes great care to ensure our patients are comfortable and well loved during the night, treating them the way she would treat her own. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta she has always had a special bond with all living creatures. After relocating to Lethbridge and volunteering at Family Pet Hospital in High School, Alice found her passion for helping our four-legged family members.

After High School, she returned to Calgary and worked at a Doggy Day Care before being hired emergency at a 24-hour hospital that she remained at for two and a half years helping a large variety of animals from wildlife to exotics. Alice enjoyed her time working overnights but decided a large city was not for her and joined us at Family Pet February of 2019 after relocating here again.

Alice resides in Lethbridge with her significant other Quentin, their three kitties Soul Eater, Pikachu and Salem as well as their Ball Python Lucifer. Recently adding another addition to the family named Zeus who is an Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash. On her days off she can be found doing paintings and drawing, visiting her Cabin in BC and enjoying nature on her hikes.

Understanding how much we love our pets is what motivates Alice to do what she does. Having her own family of four-legged (and no legged) members she understands how much they mean to us and the joy they bring to our lives. Alice takes great pride being able to help our pets come home feeling their best selves and loves being able to ensure as much of a positive experience during times of stress, by making sure your loved one receives the best care possible.

“They are not just living things; they are being with lives. The next time you notice the first bird you see; you are beholding a unique individual with personality traits, an emotional profile, and a library of knowledge built on experience. What you are witnessing is not just biology, but a biography.” – Jonathan Balcombe
