Amber received her Diploma of Animal Health Technology in 2017 from Grande Prairie Regional College – Fairview campus. She launched her career in small animal general practice and exotic medicine. In June of 2019, a career shift towards emergency medicine brought Amber down from Calgary to join the Family Pet Team. While we make sure to put her exotics skills to good use, Amber is in the process of obtaining her Specialty in small animal Emergency and Critical Care. Amber has two Labrador retrievers, Snickers and Peaches, Cat named Charlie, and a Leopard Gecko named Mango. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time outside with friends and family, camping, hiking, and archery. She is also the department head for our Veterinary Technical Assistant’s team. Her attention to detail and excellent communication skills ensures that your pet is well looked after while in our care.
