Dr. Teri White was born and raised in rural Nova Scotia. She spent several busy years in New Brunswick working as a veterinary technician before making the decision to go back to school. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology, at the University of New Brunswick, she went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island. Returning to New Brunswick, Dr. White began her career in primary care at a small animal hospital before making the cross country leap to join the team at Family Pet Hospital. She has embraced emergency medicine with the enthusiasm, bringing her commitment to teamwork along with the dedicated care and attention she gives to every patient along with her. Dr. White’s professional interests include emergency medicine, critical care, soft tissue and dental surgery. She enjoys volunteering with international veterinary aid organizations, such as World Vets, and has been involved in two successful field projects, one in Nicaragua and another in Laos. If she can find spare time, you can find Dr. White snuggling with her rescue cat Elouise or hiking with her dog, Thea. She especially loves spending hours at the beach, which is proving difficult in Southern Alberta! However, she is falling in love with the beautiful landscapes the area has to offer.
