Kallee began her journey into the world of veterinary medicine as a young child in rural Alberta. Some of her earliest memories include collecting any kind of bug that she could catch and making a “home” for them in mason jars; or rescuing baby pigeons from a grain bin and raising them until they were able to be set free to roam the world. Her passion for animals continued as she joined 4H and raised sheep for four years earning multiple awards.
Kallee has always had an affinity for all animals and has had the opportunity to have many different animals in her care including horses, snakes, birds, cats, and dogs to name just a few. This love of animals brought her to Family Pet Hospital as a volunteer in 2018. Her passion was evident in her work and she was hired to be a receptionist at the Hospital and has now moved to the back to be an assistant.
Not one to stay still, Kallee is currently studying at the University of Lethbridge and hopes to graduate and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the not too distant future. Kallee is an avid outdoors enthusiast and in her spare time she partakes in long walks with her dog, Lady, in the coulees around Lethbridge, or hiking in the back country throughout Alberta and British Columbia with family and friends.
